changing for the better

The Start of Something New

Many communities are facing problems such as mail theft, car break-ins, and home invasions. Our neighborhood is not exempt. However, we aim to do something about it! We’ve initiated the discussion of obtaining 24/7 community patrol and a viable way to fund it, with creating an Improvement District. By turning VH into a Residential Improvement District, we will not only fund community patrols deterring crime in our neighborhood, we can also opt to enhance our community with beautification efforts over and above what our city provides such as graffiti removal, regular street sweeping, parks and trail clean up, and beautifying the entrance into VH.

Would you like to know more? Check out the Q&A link below. Have questions, concerns, or ideas? Shoot us an email, we’d love to hear from you.

This forum is an important step to beginning the steps to protect our neighborhood with community patrol. At this forum we will discuss an innovative funding option for community patrol that can also help enhance the quality of life in Verdemont Heights. We will have a special guest, Nichole Farley from Civitas. Civitas is the company that pioneered improvement districts in California, creating the states first improvement district. She will be able to answer all your questions in regards to how this innovative step can help better our community.

Hope to see you there!

We need your help spreading the word. We want everyone to have the opportunity to learn more about these proposed efforts and join in on the conversation. We are asking that you please print just 10 flyers and pass them out to your neighbors. We sincerely appreciate your help. Let’s come together as a community  and work on solutions.
